PROF. DR. YAVUZ KOCABEY
Ortopedi, İnsanın doğa ile olan uyumudur.
Kırşehir’de doğan Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kocabey ilk ve orta tahsilini Kırşehir’de, lise tahsilini İstanbul Kabataş Erkek Lisesi’nde bitirdikten sonra üniversite tahsili için Ankara’ya gelmiş ve Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ne başlamıştır. Üniversite eğitimi sırasında masa tenisi ve halk oyunlarına merak duymuş ve çeşitli aktivitelere katılmıştır. Üniversite eğitimi sonunda mecburi hizmet için Adıyaman Besni Devlet Hastanesi’nde göreve başlamış olup, daha sonra Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji ihtisası için Edirne’de Trakya Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ne başlamış ve bu dönem dalgıçlığa merak duyarak balık adam olmuştur. Mecburi hizmetini Karadeniz’in hırçın, şirin, doğa güzelliği muhteşem olan Trabzon’un Of ilçesinde Devlet Hastanesinde yapmış olup akademisyen olmaya karar vermiştir. İlk akademik görevinde Harran Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji ABD Yrd. Doç. Dr. olarak göreve başlamıştır. 2001 yılında 6 aylık süre ile Kentucky Üniversitesinde (KY-ABD), daha sonra 2 yıl süre Louisville Üniversitesinde (KY-ABD) spor yaralanmaları, diz, omuz ve ayak bileği cerrahisi konusunda Fellow olarak çalışmış bu süre zarfında uluslararası dergilerde yayınlanan birçok çalışması vardır. 2006 yılında Doçent olup aynı yıl Kocaeli Acıbadem hastanesinde çalışmaya başlamıştır. 2007 yılında ayak ve ayak bileği cerrahisi konusunda çalışmak için Sarasota (Mi) bulunmuştur. 2013 yılında Acıbadem Üniversitesi’nde profesör olmuş ve Terrace Fulya da kendi muayenehanesinde hizmet vermektedir.
KOCABEY PRESSFIT TEKNİĞİ
Kocabey Press Fit Tekniği, diz ön çapraz bağ kopukluklarında kullanılan yeni bir ameliyat tekniğidir. Diğer tekniklerin kullanıldığı çapraz bağ ameliyatlarında, uyluk kemiğine ve kaval kemiğine iki tane tünel açılır. Koyulan greftler bu tünellere yerleştirilir ve bu tünellere implant dediğimiz metaller ya da vidalar koyulur.
Kocabey Press Fit Tekniği’nde ise kaval kemiğine vida eklenmez ve bu sayede maliyet yarı yarıya azaltılmış olur. Hastalar ise ilk gününden itibaren ağrısız ve konforlu bir süreç geçirir. Ameliyattan sonraki sabah hastalar hareketlerine başlayabilir ve ilk günden itibaren rahatça yürüyebilirler.
